Setting up your cash drawer for generic roll printer
Most (if not all) brands of roll printer can be used with Generic/Text
Only drivers - this allows the kicking of cash drawers connected
directly to the printer. Alternatively if you buy an EPSON or
EPSON-compatible printer, you may use their proprietary drivers and set
up SabrePoint to kick the drawer - refer to How to set up a
cash drawer for your EPSON roll printer for information.
Step 1. Install your
Generic/Text Only printer and type in the required Begin Print Job (or
End Print Job if you prefer) control sequence, as provided in your
printer manual.
Step 2. Set up
SabrePoint Preferences and allow your cash drawer to use your Generic
printer Begin Print Job commands.
Once the correct settings are made as shown, SabrePoint will kick the
drawer when closing the sale or when any of the Drawer Kick icons are
used.
